Parents, students not able to submit assignments electronically for e-Learning will be given flexibility for submission of assignments, which will not adversely affect their attendance or grades.

Fall break for Abbeville County School District begins Tuesday, October 1 through Tuesday, October 8. Teachers return on Tuesday, October 8. Students return on Wednesday, October 9. Please stay safe.
Parents, due to the anticipated high wind gusts of over 40 miles per hour forecast for Friday, Abbeville County School District will operate on an e-Learning Day on Friday, September 27th. These high winds can affect the safe operation of school buses. Your child's school will send additional information related to the e-Learning Day. Students and teachers will not report to school. The Abbeville County School District sends our heartfelt condolences to the family of Jasmine Chadwick, a 10th-grade student at Dixie High School. Jasmine tragically died as a result of a car accident on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Jasmine’s guardian, Mrs. Vicky Thompson, was also killed.
The Abbeville County School District extends our deepest sympathies to Dixie High School and the surrounding community. We recognize a loss of this magnitude will deeply affect many of our students and staff. Our students’ emotional and social well-being are important to us. Counselors are available to any of our students who would like assistance during this time.
We stand together as a community in honoring Jasmine’s memory. We will continue to provide support in the days ahead.

The Abbeville County Career Center is thrilled to invite you to our Community Night on September 16th! The event kicks off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 PM, celebrating our new classrooms and office building. After the ceremony, enjoy fantastic student showcases featuring skills they’ve learned at the career center. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet local industries and vendors who enrich our community. As a special treat, we’ll be serving free hotdogs on a first come, first served basis! This is a wonderful chance to connect, celebrate our students, and explore community resources. We can’t wait to see you there!
Abbeville County School District has been made aware of a social media post that alluded to a threat to a school in Abbeville. The Abbeville County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) were notified immediately. After a thorough investigation, no credible threat against any school in Abbeville County has been identified,
Unfortunately, these types of threats have increased in communities across our nation.
Abbeville County School District takes all alleged threats seriously. Your child's security and safety remain our top priority. As always, we encourage our students, parents, and community members to report any suspicious behavior or perceived threats to our schools and law enforcement.
