Throughout the week of October 23 - 27, students and staff at Long Cane Primary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week. This year’s Red Ribbon Week theme was Be Kind To Your Mind! Live Drug Free! The theme was a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices and serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength. Our school counselor Mrs. Saylors began the week with a lesson for all students about medication safety and identifying safe adults. She also issued a challenge to all classes to create a music video to go along with Will.i.am’s song “What I Am.” Enjoy a few pictures from our week as well as the winning video from Miss Belk’s class!
