Our own Mrs. Julie Stone was presented with an award by State Superintendent Molly Spearman Tuesday as being one of the South Carolina Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) finalists. All finalists are chosen to represent our state at the national level. Their work, along with a video, has been forwarded to the White House for national-level review. If chosen, awardees will go to The White House and meet President Biden. The competition for nationals is quite steep as most teachers only teach science for their content area, and are stationed in labs with abundant materials. Mrs. Stone is to be commended as being chosen for the state-level PAEMST awardee finalist.
Congratulations Mrs. Julie Stone!
